For over 7 years Ambitech has been working hand in hand with DuPage Habitat for Humanity to provide quality, affordable housing for families in need. Our employees offer their engineering and project management skills to support a variety of Habitat projects.
The partnership between Ambitech and Habitat began 7 years ago when Muneer Bachh joined Habitat’s Board of Directors. Muneer served as the lead of Habitat’s Pioneer Prairie development committee and personally devoted hundreds of hours to the project.
When Pioneer Prairie was ready to build, Muneer requested Allan Koenig get involved on both a personal and corporate level. Allan graciously accepted the request, pledging personal support and the financial and expert help of Ambitech. He was the first leadership sponsor to endorse the Pioneer Prairie project and spoke at that project’s kickoff. Ambitech employees Mike Willard and Nick Marchel have since offered Project Management support to both Pioneer Prairie and Prairie Green. Ambitech has been active in other Habitat projects and events, most recently, the American English concert and fundraiser.
If you’d like to be involved in Habitat’s work and continue the Ambitech-Habitat partnership, you can! Habitat looks for volunteers to roll up their sleeves to frame, roof, side, paint, landscape and more. No experience? No problem! They will teach you all you need to know. A willing hand and heart are all that are required.
On August 30, 2012, DuPage Habitat for Humanity kicked off their next project – a 12-townhome neighborhood in Glen Ellyn. Ambitech is a leadership sponsor on this project.
On September 23, 2012, the Adhikari family will purchase a Habitat home in West Chicago. Besides being the 58th family to purchase a DuPage Habitat home, the Adhikaris are the 11th (and final) homeowners to purchase in the 11-home Pioneer Prairie neighborhood, the project on which Ambitech was a leadership sponsor.
